Confidence scoring tips for due dilligence

September events for founders and investors

Happy Tuesday Brex community,

When you're going through a due diligence process, it's vital for founders to understand the importance of confidence scoring. Each day of diligence should build the investor's confidence across key areas: Market Opportunity, Customer Profile, Value Proposition, Competitive Differentiation, Go-To-Market Strategy, Team, Economic Model and Momentum, Deal Dynamics, and Exit Landscape.

If your first diligence call shows the investor's confidence at just 25%, your mission is to elevate that score to at least 75% before they take the opportunity to their investment committee. Each meeting should bring more clarity and conviction, so don’t end a session without understanding where they stand on these critical points.

For those interested in diving deeper into how investment committees work and how investors evaluate opportunities as we close summer ‘24, we'll be discussing these topics in detail at our upcoming events!
