October's conference season is in full swing, with New York's #TechWeek underway and Money2020 just around the corner in Las Vegas. I’ll be keeping it brief this week, here's a valuable networking tip: when you follow up with the folks you meet at all these events, avoid vague or wishy-washy messages. Make a clear, specific request, and reference where you met. With so many people to meet, aim for purposeful and graceful connections. It’s so easy for your next customer, partner, recruit, investor to ignore a blank LinkedIn request or an email with no call to action.
